 About Us

Welcome!

This website offers math worksheet software that you can download and run on your computer. The software allows parents to print customized math practice sheets for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division for small integers, large integers, decimals, and negatives. As such the software can be used for Kindergarten and 1st grade through 7th or 8th grade. The software is called Math Foundations 2.0.

To start an immediate 30-sheet trial, visit our download page now.

Practice sheets from Math Foundations 2.0 can help with spot review in areas of weakness, with extra practice when the text offers too little, and with math maintenance over vacations. They can also be used to teach the basic math facts independently of your regular math book, as explained in the help system.

Math Foundations 2.0 is fast, versatile, and helpful:

   Fast:
Once Math Foundations is installed and configured, generating math practice sheets is fast, for several reasons:
- No Internet hookup is required.
- The software remembers your settings.
- The Advanced Print button can print practice sheets for several days at a time.
- The window design allows rapid changes and customization.

   Versatile:
Math Foundations offers complete control over the range of numbers used, and can generate worksheets for fixed addends (2's addition, 3's addition, etc.) as well as for fact families (1+5=6, 2+4=6, 3+3=6). It also offers numerous formatting options, including:
Fill-in-the-blank:   4 x    = 20
"Guide Lines"  to help younger children keep their numbers neat:  2 + 3 =
and many others (see the list of features and the sample worksheets).

   Helpful:
The help system provides practical tips on program operation as well as strategic advice on using the worksheets.
Is Your Child Struggling?  We've been there. The help system for Math Foundations includes pages on enthusiasm and on experimentation. It also presents our experience in "starting over" (1+1=2) with our third grade son. Despite his slow start he finished Saxon 76 (pre-algebra) in sixth grade. See the help screen on Systematic Practice for a sketch of what we did.

Large Families:   Math Foundations 2.0 is a particularly good investment for large families, as the software can remember math worksheet settings for several children at once, and can automatically generate a week or more worth of practice sheets at one time.

Outline of what Math Foundations 2.0 can offer:

    Kindergarten and First Grade:
Large fonts, small number of problems per page, guide-lines option.

    Second Grade:
Smaller font size, more problems per page. Two digit addition and subtraction with no-carry and no-borrow options.

    Third Grade:
Multiple-digit addition and subtraction, simple multiplication and division.

    Fourth Grade:
Harder multiplication and division, long division with remainders.

    Fifth Grade:
Long integer problems, simple decimal problems.

    Sixth Grade:
Harder decimal problems.

    Seventh Grade and Eighth Grade:
Harder decimal problems and negatives.

Welcome to our friends from the United Kingdom and Australia. We understand that the word "mathematics" is sometimes shortened to "maths" instead of "math". So "math practice sheets" would be written "maths practice sheets". In any case, the problems are the same.
